The Kodak Bowls Club was formed in 1919 and practice then took place on the lawn in front of the then KRS Hall. A three rink green was laid out in 1920-21 and officially opened by the Factory Manager on 24th May 1922. At that time the club boasted over 60 members, all so keen to play that a time limit of 1 hour for each game was introduced.

When the Sports Ground in Harrow View was purchased in 1928 a 6 rink Cumberland turf green was laid so permitting members to enter County competitions. So popular did the sport become that a second 6 rink green was opened in 1948. This green, still known as the "New Green" 50 years later, became host to many county matches and competitions. International stars competing in the Kodak Masters Bowls Tournaments, the first Bowls tournaments to be televised, were frequent visitors and played several matches against the club in the 1980's.

Although now using only one green, the club continues to be very active, running club singles, triples and fours leagues and competing in Harrow and District competitions and leagues.
